On the evening of 14 February, the Foreign Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with the Thai Foreign Minister, who was present at the “Belt and Road” International Cooperation Summit in China. Wang Yi said that China and Thailand are close relatives and the two countries have always understood and supported each other in major international and regional affairs. Thailand has supported the "Belt and Road Initiative" proposed by China from the very beginning. China appreciates this. Thailand is an important country along the “One Belt and One Road.” China is willing to strengthen the development strategy with Thailand and ASEAN through the China-Thailand Railway and Sino-Thai cooperation, deepen interconnection, and cooperate closely in the construction of the “One Belt and One Road” to further benefit the two countries.
