The Global Forum for Sustainable Development was held from May 2nd to May 4th 2017 in the Italian Congress House conference hall in Rome, capital of Italy.
The meeting was chaired by Jean-Paul FITOUSSI, co-chair of the Global Forum on Sustainable Development. Vice President of the Italian House of Representatives, Marina SERENI, and Khalid MALIK, co-chairman of the Global Forum on Sustainable Development, respectively, delivered greetings. The Italian cabinet deputy secretary of state Maria Elena BOSCHI made an opening statement.

He gave a keynote speech on the UN Millennium Development Goals, innovation and sustainable development.
The second day of the conference was held at the University of Louis. The Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, the Director-General of the United Nations Geneva Headquarters, Michael, MOLLER and ten scholars, professors and experts delivered keynote speeches on business models, innovation and sustainable development. The third day of the conference was held at the FAO Headquarters Conference Center. Rene Castro SALAZAR, Assistant Director-General of the FAO, gave a welcome speech and gave a speech on how to deal with the theme of climate change. The United Nations Secretary-General for Europe Affairs, Sandro GOZI, and Gian Luca GALLETTI, Minister of Environment and Land and Marine Conservation of Italy, made a statement. The meeting ended with a closing ceremony at the Italian Parliament building and read the 2017 Rome Declaration of the Global Forum on Sustainable Development. President Jiang Qingqing was invited to participate in the forum's full-scale activities.
